From the artist:
• Knoxville is close to various mountain ranges, most notably the Great Smoky Mountains, pictured behind the guitar
• It is known as the 'Cradle of Country Music' and I have incorporated this lettering at the bottom of the design. The city helped to launch the early careers of legends like Roy Acuff, Chet Atkins, and Dolly Parton.
• Because of the country music connection, I wanted to incorporate a guitar synonymous with country. I noted that the very last guitar that Raul owned was a Gretsch Anniversary by Bigsby in smoke green which is appropriate for the Raul easter egg. I have incorporated RM on the headstock and LOVE on the scratch plate.
• The color scheme started with the color of the Gretsch and works for the mountains.
• The sky has the Mavericks & Friends brand stars and moon, a good reference to 'Moon & Stars'.
